SADDLEBROOKE BALL MACHINES – AUTHORIZATION AND
USE
There are two (2) ball
machines available at the SaddleBrooke Tennis site and one ball machine
available at the MountainView Tennis site.
The SaddleBrooke Tennis Club machine at the SaddleBrooke site (so
labeled) was purchased by and is for exclusive use of
Ball Machine Courts
Ball Machines may be used
only on Courts 4 and 5 at the SaddleBrooke site and Court 13 at the

any court reservations or competitions as discussed below.
Ball Machine Storage
The ball machines are located
in cages near Courts number 4 and 13.
The combinations to the locks can be obtained from the Tennis
Coordinator after an orientation on proper use.
Combinations may change periodically to provide a degree of control over
unauthorized use of the ball machines.
After use of the machine, all
balls, ball mower and the ball hopper must be returned to the cage, the canvas
cover put back over the machine and securely locked.
Availability Times
The machines may be used
anytime during tennis court hours EXCEPT:
1.
When Organized
Play or other STC Official Organized Events are in progress on adjacent courts
2.
When USTA League
Play or other sanctioned competitions are in progress on adjacent courts
3.
Other times as
determined by the STC board or the Tennis Coordinator
Reservation Procedures
§
A ball machine may
be reserved with the Tennis Coordinator in person or by telephone
§
Reservations may
be made no more than two (2) days in advance
§
Reservations are
for one hour only. If the court is
available and no one is waiting for the ball machine, it may be used for an additional
hour.
§
The ball machines
are available to walk-on players on a “first- come/first- served” basis;
subject to the availability of the courts (check the reservation lists on the
Tennis Office window).
Orientation
Before using the ball
machines for the first time, all payers should attend an orientation. Please contact a Tennis Coordinator for
information on ball machine orientation.
Problem Reports
As a service to others, users
should report any problems with the machines promptly to the Tennis Coordinator.
